Critical Care Registered Nurse (ICU) - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This position requires two years of recent ICU experience, including one travel assignment. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population in a combined medical, surgical, and cardiac ICU setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, including those with respiratory distress, COPD, overdose, and cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and perform procedures such as line insertion, arterial line placement, and CVP monitoring.
• Participate in emergency response situations, managing interventions including cardiac arrests and strokes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.

Schedule

This position is a 13-week contract with rotating night shifts, primarily 12-hour shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience, with at least one travel assignment.
• Current Delaware or compact RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
