This is a 4x12-hour contract position, with shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM. 48 hours guaranteed per week, with every other weekend and every other holiday required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Step-Down RN with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Step-Down unit. The Nurse will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), those following heart catheterizations, vascular procedures, and managing respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor cardiac patients using telemetry.
• Perform vital sign and neurovascular checks.
• Provide care following post-heart catheterization and vascular procedures.
• Manage patients on BiPAP, CPAP, and Vapotherm.
• Conduct frequent cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management.
• Participate in the administration and monitoring of procedural sedation.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary support teams as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Ability to manage IVs, PICC lines, and blood product administration.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions.
