Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Women's Services department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to laboring patients, while promoting patient choice and supporting their birth preferences.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care to laboring patients and promote vaginal birth opportunities.
- Perform advanced nursing skills and procedures such as circulating in the OR, IUPC, FSE, and managing magnesium sulfate administration.
- Utilize equipment and documentation systems effectively (CPN and Meditech).
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated in-house team, including midwives and CRNAs.
- Ensure patient and family support through couplet care in the postpartum unit.
- Utilize donor milk availability to promote breastfeeding.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP are required.
- Experience with labor and delivery services, preferably with skills in spinning babies and STABLE certification.
