Job Description
The Physical Therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
- Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up.
- Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare personnel to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions and test results.
- Assist patients in mobility and provide stand-by assistance during walking.
- Be involved in business marketing and referral processes when necessary.
- Follow HIPAA policies and procedures to protect patient privacy.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Active license as a Physical Therapist in the state of California or plan to test soon.
- Continuing Education courses preferred.
