Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for the assigned patients. The therapist will ensure the design of functional treatment programs promoting effective returns to community activities and will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care clearly, accurately, and timely in compliance with guidelines and policies.
• Participate in the student program, providing learning opportunities and supervision.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education requirements.
• Engage in professional development and apply learned information to organizational objectives.
• Understand performance improvement methodologies and follow action plans to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where work will be performed.
• Previous experience with our agency is highly desired.
