Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The PACU is a vital area in our surgical department, providing recovery care for patients after anesthesia. This unit manages a diverse range of elective surgeries across several specialties.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery.
- Provide post-anesthesia care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Must have acute care hospital experience with 1-2 years of nursing experience.
- PACU experience or ICU/ED experience preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
