This position requires a full-time variable schedule including 3x12 hour shifts from 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with every other weekend and holiday shifts as needed.
Job Description
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The nurse will utilize advanced nursing skills to assess and interpret patient data, implement appropriate interventions, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and report significant changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA/RQI certs only).
- NIHSS certification upon hire.
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire.
