Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will assess patients and families with varying needs, utilizing a person-centered care approach to develop effective care plans. The RN will prioritize and implement nursing care by evaluating both expected and unanticipated patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and families to recognize deviations in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status.
• Involve patients and families in establishing care goals and developing care plans.
• Demonstrate competence in technical skills required for patient care.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care, showing critical thinking skills in clinical decision-making.
• Display initiative by remaining informed on organizational policies and standards.
• Act as a resource for peers and engage health team members in patient care.
• Assist in the professional development of team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current state RN license.
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and research in nursing.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
