Job Description

The Critical Care Registered Nurse in the CVICU is responsible for providing high-quality care for patients recovering from open-heart surgery and managing complex critical care needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for intubated patients and those requiring titration of vasoactive medications.
• Manage equipment such as Impella, IABP, ECMO, and ventilators.
• Perform procedures including intubation, extubation, bedside bronchoscopy, and bedside line insertion.
• Monitor patient vitals and adjust care based on ongoing assessments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license with ACLS/BLS certifications.
• Proven experience in a Critical Care or CVICU setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the care required for critical patients and those with advanced medical devices.
