Job Description
The Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to patients, performing evaluative and therapeutic procedures under the order of a physician or other accepted healthcare providers. They will evaluate and treat patients according to department protocols and establish a therapeutic plan of care, including long and short term goals. Physical therapy rehabilitation services are focused within a skilled nursing and long-term care setting, aiming to maximize the patient's functional abilities and independence.
Responsibilities
- Perform evaluative procedures to assess patients’ needs.
- Develop and implement therapeutic plans of care.
- Set long and short term goals for patient rehabilitation.
- Collaboration with patients and healthcare providers.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
- Must hold a current Physical Therapist license in the State of Maine.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Schedule
This is a varied shift position with up to 40 guaranteed hours.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
