Critical Care Registered Nurse

Job Description

The Critical Care Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized care to patients with life-threatening conditions in high-acuity settings. This role requires the ability to assess patient conditions rigorously and implement emergency care while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide advanced life support and manage treatment for critical injuries and illnesses.
• Assist physicians with procedures and interventions.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately.
• Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment, including ventilators and monitors.
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications as per protocols.
• Perform suctioning and other critical procedures as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the critical care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Act as a patient advocate and provide education to families.

Schedule

This position is a night shift, from 19:00 to 07:30.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Florida RN or multi-state RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (must be attached to submission).
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomy care, and central lines is essential.
• Preferred experience in wound care.
• Must be willing to float to lower acuity units depending on facility needs.
