Job Description
Join a dynamic Surgical Unit with a focus on post-operative care. The unit is well-equipped to handle various surgical procedures and the maintenance of post-op care. You will work within a supportive team that values open communication and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Maintain post-operative surgical procedure sites
- Perform wound care including packing, dressing changes, and wound vac maintenance
- Manage Foley Catheter care and continuous bladder irrigation
- Change and maintain ostomy appliances
- Insert nasogastric tubes and perform suction
- Administer TPN and manage blood transfusions
- Provide central line care and dressing changes
- Conduct bedside shift reports
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Must have:
- Time Management and Efficiency skills
- A background in post-operative surgical areas (vascular, bariatric, urology, general surgery, colorectal)
- BLS Certification
