Schedule
Monday to Friday; 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably with a focus on stroke evaluation and treatment. You will engage in various therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional activity to enhance patient rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions aimed at enhancing patient independence and functionality.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Physical Therapists and Speech Therapists.
- Utilize advanced equipment such as Sara Lifts and Bioness for effective rehabilitation.
- Document patient progress using the Meditech Expanse system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Stroke evaluation and treatment experience preferred.
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
