Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Antepartum and Labor & Delivery to provide high-quality care to high-risk obstetrical patients. The ideal candidate will be actively engaged in patient management, support, and education while maintaining a safe and effective nursing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to high-risk obstetrical patients.
- Monitor and assess the condition of patients and their fetuses.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding antepartum care and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities.
- Assist in managing complex patient needs and potential emergencies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of high-risk Labor and Delivery or Antepartum experience.
- Current Texas RN license (temporary license not accepted).
- BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required.
- Experience with magnesium sulfate management and preterm labor management is preferred.
