Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegation and direction of all therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs geared towards an effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while adhering to the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations for assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with guidelines and policies.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
• Actively pursue professional growth through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and adhere to discipline-specific standards and ethical conduct.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of services offered.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for the location of work.
