Job Description:
As a Travel Sonographer, you'll perform a variety of ultrasound exams—including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and cardiac (if applicable)—to assist in diagnosing and monitoring patient conditions. You'll work closely with radiologists and medical teams to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and protocols
- Prepare and position patients for exams, ensuring comfort and accuracy
- Capture and analyze images using ultrasound equipment
- Explain procedures and communicate effectively with patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and equipment logs
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy standards
Requirements:
- ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification required
- Active state license (if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound/sonography experience
- Proficiency in OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts, or vascular imaging preferred
- Strong communication and time-management skills
