Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. This role involves ensuring functional treatment programs that facilitate a return to community activities and serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers. Adherence to safety protocols and compliance with organizational standards is essential in delivering superior quality care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Complete medical record documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and follows insurance protocols.
• Participate in student programs, providing supervision and evaluation as necessary.
• Create and maintain a personalized professional development plan.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8 schedule, with 60-minute evaluations and follow-ups every 30 minutes.

Assignment Duration

This is a 6-month contract position.
