Description
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist will be responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients and ensuring functional treatment programs are designed for effective community reintegration.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Document medical records accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Provide care under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
- Participate in a student program by providing supervision and development of learning objectives.
- Actively pursue professional growth through continuing education and professional activities.
- Maintain professional licensure and adhere to ethical standards.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback for maximizing outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active licensure in the state of practice.
Schedule
This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule, split between Hampden and Englewood.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
