Job Description
The Cardiac Operating Room (OR) specializes in providing surgical care for a variety of adult cardiac conditions, including CABGs, TAVIs, and heart failure treatments such as VADs, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care tailored to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases, including CABGs, structural heart procedures, and minimally invasive surgeries.
- Assist with heart failure cases and manage advanced cardiac interventions.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- RN License (New York ONLY)
- Two (2) years of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in a level 1 trauma center.
- Ability to scrub and circulate.
- Telemetry certification.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Experience with transplant and TAVR procedures preferred but not required.
