Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in the Acute Neuro Unit, focusing on patients recovering from neurosurgery, neurology, ear, nose, and throat surgery, as well as general surgery. The RN will manage a diverse patient population, including ambulatory patients requiring some self-care and those who are bedridden and require total care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish care plans.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and progress throughout their recovery process.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide support for activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients who are bedridden.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the acute care specialty.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• ACLS certification.
