Job Description

The Behavioral Health RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an inpatient adolescent and geriatric behavioral health setting. The RN will be expected to float between units as needed and engaged in the management of clinical activities within the assigned unit.

Responsibilities

• Implement and uphold the philosophy, goals, and standards of the Department of Nursing.
• Manage staffing and scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for the unit.
• Supervise and support nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Plan and coordinate orientation and educational activities for new staff members.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote a positive public image of the Nursing Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required.
• Experience in inpatient adolescent (14-17 years old) psychiatric care required.
• De-escalation training/certification required; SAFE Training Course can be attended onsite if needed.
