Job Description
The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for screening, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for patients across various settings, including inpatient, Long Term Care, Alzheimer’s, Home Health, and outpatient facilities. This role demands collaboration with an interdisciplinary treatment team to effectively manage patient caseloads from screenings and evaluations through discharges while adhering to State and Federal Regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Participate actively in an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
- Provide necessary billing documentation for services rendered.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other rehabilitation team members regarding treatment plans and patient responses.
- Counsel patients and families regarding disabilities and impairments.
- Complete all required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Maintain compliance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Attend meetings and in-service sessions as directed.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule
This position operates on a day shift with occasional Saturdays.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
