Job Description
As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician directives. You will be responsible for the delegation and direction of therapy services and ensuring functional treatment programs lead to effective community reintegration. Additionally, you will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while maintaining compliance with the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including goal writing and charge entry, in accordance with established guidelines.
- Participate in the development and mentoring of students, providing a positive learning environment.
- Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
- Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to maximizing service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active licensure for the state in which you will be performing.
Schedule
This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule with evaluations lasting 60 minutes and follow-ups scheduled every 30 minutes.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
