Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift (3x12)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and formulate an individualized plan of care.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patients’ diagnoses in collaboration with patients and the Interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.
• Provide direction and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel; delegate appropriately.
• Contribute positively to unit teamwork and maintain a safe environment.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested, following the orientation period.
• Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift for CIRH ONLY.
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position is for the Day Shift on a 3x12 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
