This position is for 12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown/Med Surg unit. This unit specializes in providing care for patients with respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injuries, and chest pain.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown and med-surg patients
- Monitor patients and maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
- Administer medication and titrate drips as needed (Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, amiodarone)
- Utilize RT equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow
- Collaborate with the house supervisor and charge nurse to ensure effective patient care
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse license
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Previous stepdown nursing experience is a must
