Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will utilize evidence-based practices to provide rehabilitative treatment for patients with physical functioning disorders. The PTA will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to ensure effective patient care and compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer various rehabilitative procedures, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans in coordination with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Communicate treatment outcomes and any barriers to progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document all patient-related information accurately in the electronic documentation system.
• Participate in required meetings and training sessions to ensure continued professional development.
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain adherence to the APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.

Schedule

This position offers flexible 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with consistent hours to be communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience (required)
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings (required)
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license (required)
• New graduates considered with adequate Level II clinical experience
