4x10.0 Rotating Shift Schedule, floating, includes holidays, weekends, on call/callback, and charge per unit needs.

Job Description

This position is within a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 Trauma center. The team caters to inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses in this role are responsible for the pre-procedural preparation of patients, as well as post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care. Experience with GI post-procedural care is preferred but not required. This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who thrive in the high-energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging, specializing in care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRI, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Monitor and provide post-procedural care.
• Manage 23-hour care for interventional radiology patients.
• Oversee patients boarding overnight pre or post-procedure.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two years of Registered Nurse experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Current New York RN license.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only).
