3x12-Hour Night Shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit. The role requires proficiency in managing a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedic needs. The nurse will engage in direct patient care, working collaboratively with a dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNA/US, and unit secretaries. The unit functions with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg Telemetry unit.
• Administer medications and drips, including Insulin, heparin, and Lasix, as needed.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and relevant certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPI.
• Minimum of 1 year of charge experience preferred.
• Experience with Meditech charting is a plus.
• Must be willing to float to like acuities if necessary.
• COVID-19 vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions only.
