Med/Surg Telemetry RN - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with a patient ratio of 1:6-1:7. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a short-term acute care setting. The candidate will be responsible for managing both medical and surgical patients, monitoring telemetry readings, and responding to changes in patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with facility policies.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, managing patients with dysrhythmias as needed.
• Administer medications and perform medical/surgical procedures as ordered.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required.
• Telemetry experience with in-depth understanding of dysrhythmias preferred.
• Active RN license in South Carolina or a compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Travel nurse experience is mandatory; first-timers will not be accepted.
