Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend and holiday are required.
Job Description
We are seeking a Neuro Med/Surg Tele Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work in a Med/Surg Telemetry Certified Stroke Center with a focus on neuro-related diagnoses, while also supporting various patient populations. Nurses in this role will be responsible for monitoring and managing telemetry patients and may float to other units to accommodate hospital needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patients with neuro-related diagnoses and telemetry needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
- Perform assessments and interpret telemetry readings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2 years of neurology and Med/Surg telemetry experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NIHSS certification.
- Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
- Basic EKG testing required and provided prior to orientation.
