Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient & Inpatient

Schedule

M-F 8a-4:30p with a lunch break from 12-1p. Flexibility of work hours may occur. Must be available to work on Saturdays.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The primary duties include conducting physical therapy evaluations and treatments in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position involves working in various environments such as the ER, ICU, Med/Surg (Acute, Observation, and SNF), and particularly in the hospital-based outpatient PT clinic. Careful attention is required for patient mobility progression from acute to SNF inpatient care, along with comprehensive discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments in various settings: outpatient (75%) and inpatient (25%) acute, ICU, and SNF.
• Implement outpatient care approaches for diverse diagnoses while ensuring thorough treatment plans.
• Manage up to 15 patients per day with new evaluations allocated an hour each and follow-up appointments every 30-45 minutes.
• Work independently and demonstrate proficiency in various physical therapy modalities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Hawaii Physical Therapist license is required (must obtain as soon as possible).
• Experience in acute care, ICU, SNF, and outpatient settings.
• Strong commitment to patient care and multi-disciplinary team collaboration.
