Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in oncology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in step-down units and a strong background in managing patients with heavy sickle cell conditions. Chemo certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulations.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical specialty setting.
- Current and valid RN license.
- Chemo certification preferred.
- Skills Checklist and Nursys License Verification required.
- References and work history with no gaps greater than 60 days.
