Job Description
This is a 13-week contract position for an Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN). The RN will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Schedule
The position offers a day shift schedule of 5x8 hours, from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, with weekend on-call requirements of one weekend per month and overnight call shifts.
Responsibilities
- Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients during procedures.
- Perform endoscopic procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP.
- Manage patient care pre- and post-procedure.
- Maintain sterile technique and manage instruments during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN, specifically in the endoscopy specialty.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs as necessary.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
