Day shift, 4x10-Hour (08:00 - 18:30). Will require working 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays based on unit requirements.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. The candidate will conduct assessments, assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures, and ensure a safe and sterile environment within the lab.

Responsibilities

• Assist with left and right heart catheterizations, pericardiocentesis, and other cardiac procedures.
• Monitor patient’s vital signs and manage hemodynamic stability during procedures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain sterile fields and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Document patient care and procedures accurately in the Epic charting system.
• Participate in call rotation and weekend coverage as required by the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and RCIS are required.
• Experience with angioplasty, cardiac ablation, and device placements preferred.
