Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients' needs and goals. The incumbent is responsible for the delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of effective treatment programs that facilitate return to community activities. This role includes educating patients, families, students, and coworkers. The therapist will complete comprehensive evaluations, maintain accurate medical record documentation, and adhere to all regulatory guidelines while fostering a safe and supportive environment for both patients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and create individualized treatment plans.
• Document patient treatments and progress in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment processes and goals.
• Participate in student training programs, facilitating learning through supervision and assessment.
• Engage in professional development activities and maintain licensure through continuing education.
• Promote a safety-focused environment, adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Maintain a valid state licensure in good standing as a Physical Therapist.

Schedule

This is a 5x8.0 schedule, providing an opportunity for consistent work hours.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
