ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a 12-hour day shift, from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care to a variety of patients, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, STEMI, post-TPA stroke, overdose, suicide attempts, shocks, heart blocks, and COVID-19. The nurse will work within a 14-bed ICU environment that promotes advanced patient monitoring and tele-health capabilities. Care will be delivered in collaboration with an in-house ED physician and hospitalists available 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Float to telemetry and medical-surgical units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Successful completion of an IV and medication test on the first day of the assignment.
• Undergo physical and drug screening the week prior to starting.
