This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8 hours (07:30 - 16:00). Weekday call every other week from 5 PM to 10 PM. Weekend coverage required, with one weekend every 12 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients diagnosed with conditions such as diabetes, cancer, peripheral vascular disease, carotid stenosis, hemorrhage, aneurysm, and end-stage renal disease. Responsibilities include administering moderate sedation and prep and recovery of patients in various procedures including interventional radiology, neuroendovascular, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Administer moderate sedation during procedures and monitor patients during prep and recovery.
• Provide care for adult and pediatric patients in the PACU and other related areas.
• Ensure compliance with medication management protocols using the Pyxis system.
• Conduct airway assessments and monitor conscious sedation.
• Participate in the rapid response team and manage code situations as they arise.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Experience in accessing and managing ports and administering conscious sedation.
• Must be able to float to different units as needed.
