Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, particularly in the care of post-operative cardiac surgery patients. Our unit specializes in advanced cardiac surgical care, requiring proficiency in utilizing various medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and perform assessments of hemodynamic status.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
- Perform invasive procedures including central line insertion and intubations.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in continuous education and professional development.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license in the state of Tennessee.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Experience in CVICU or critical care nursing is essential.
- Advanced skills in PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT.
