Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift - Vermont

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, including three 12-hour shifts per week and every other weekend.

Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse (RN) and excel in coordinating exceptional patient care for both adult and occasional pediatric patients. In this role, your expertise will be vital in providing comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care in the dynamic general Med/Surg unit. Collaborate with a talented group of professionals and lead them in meeting the unique needs of a diverse patient population while utilizing the innovative Nursing Process to make critical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic care by addressing patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs with compassion.
• Accountable to the Unit Director, working closely with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during shifts.
• Provide care in a 25-bed, independent, nonprofit critical access hospital renowned for its beauty and recreational activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of acute care experience, with preference for candidates with Meditech experience.
• Active Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure is required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certification are mandatory.
• This is not a pediatric floor, but may occasionally have a pediatric patient; strictly no pediatric-only RNs will be considered.
• Flu shot is required with no exceptions.
