Schedule
8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, rotating through 0630-1500, 0900-1730, and 1100-1930. Weekend coverage and call opportunities available on a voluntary basis.

This is a 13-week contract position.
Job Description
The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care in the surgical setting based on current perioperative nursing knowledge and practices. This includes the use of the nursing process involving assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients across the pediatric through geriatric age spectrum.
Responsibilities
- Develop a plan of care based on ongoing patient assessments in the holding area, operative suite, and post-operative setting.
- Implement perioperative nursing techniques while adhering to safety and aseptic standards.
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Educate patients and families about surgical processes and nursing interventions.
- Document patient interactions and individualized changes in the plan of care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Completion of an accredited registered nurse program required; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of prior Operating Room experience required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, renewed every two years.
