Interim Critical Care Director

Job Description

The Interim Critical Care Director will supervise the CVICU, ICU, and the future SICU. This role requires strong leadership and management skills to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal operational performance across the critical care units.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the CVICU and ICU, integrating care models across units.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives focusing on patient outcomes, including reducing CLABSIs, CAUTIs, VAP, and Sepsis incidents.
• Ensure readiness for Joint Commission accreditation and compliance with CMS standards.
• Manage budget development, productivity management, and capital budget planning.
• Optimize ICU flow and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Facilitate cultural transformation and manage resistance within diverse teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 to 5 years of nurse manager or director experience.
• BSN required; MSN or MBA preferred.
• Clinical or management experience in medical ICU and CVICU.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• Knowledge of quality and patient outcomes in critical care settings.
• Proven success in leading quality improvement initiatives.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a schedule of 40 hours per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
