Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts rotate between Day (07:00 - 19:00) and Night (19:00 - 07:00) for 3 days, with every other weekend and every other holiday required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit. The role includes managing and prioritizing patient care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring that patients receive the necessary treatment and support.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs.
• Manage IVs and other medical equipment.
• Provide wound care and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a Medical Surgical unit.
• Active PA or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
• Previous charge experience is advantageous.
