Day shift, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the possibility to stay over if necessary.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will play a critical role in the postoperative care of patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures, including joint procedures, hand surgeries, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, and orthopedic procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth recovery process for patients.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' vital signs and recover them from anesthesia.
- Assess patients' conditions and provide appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and manage post-operative pain.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care.
- Prepare patients for discharge and ensure they are stable.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 18 months of PACU nursing experience.
- Active Ohio RN license or compact state RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Epic charting experience is preferred.
- Experience with outpatient recovery preferred, particularly with orthopedic procedures.
