Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities. The PT also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on patient progress towards discharge.
- Document care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, compliant with state, federal, and clinic policies.
- Participate in the student program by providing positive learning environments with supervision and evaluations.
- Create individualized professional development plans to pursue ongoing education and skill enhancement.
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintain licensure in good standing.
- Engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
- Previous experience with the agency or Select Medical is highly desired.
Schedule
This is a contract position comprising a 5x8.0 schedule, beginning July 13th, with a desired duration of 6 months.
