Registered Nurse - Med/Surg IMC

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the IMC Med/Surg unit practices independently, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. This role involves providing routine and complex care, managing contingencies in clinical nursing, and delegating tasks to other care providers as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with nursing standards.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only).
• Active RN license in the state of employment or compact state.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
