This is a 13-week contract position.
Job Description
The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises occupational therapy treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. Demonstrates superior quality in patient care and promotes a safe environment for both patients and employees.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient functioning levels and implement appropriate treatment plans based on assessments.
- Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students in their duties.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with departmental policies.
- Promote patient and employee safety through adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Engage with patients and families effectively to enhance understanding and collaboration in care.
- Complete proper documentation related to patient equipment issuance and discharge plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- Valid and current state license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy.
- Previous inpatient rehab experience preferred.
