Occupational Therapist - In-Patient Rehab

Location

Arlington, TX

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Rotating weekends

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist with experience in in-patient rehabilitation to join our dedicated team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy interventions for neuro and orthopedic patients in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients in the in-patient rehab unit.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on patient mobility, safety, and independence.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families about occupational therapy interventions and rehabilitation goals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Active Occupational Therapist License (no temporary licenses allowed)
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based occupational therapy experience, with a focus on in-patient rehabilitation.
  • Experience with neuro and orthopedic patient evaluations and treatments.
  • Current BLS certification.
