Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and should possess experience operating MRI machines efficiently. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for patient comfort before and during scanning procedures and will coordinate with physicians to ensure timely receipt of results.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Schedule

This position requires full-time hours of 40 hours per week for the first 2 weeks, after which the technologist will begin their solo weekend shift. The shift will generally be 2x12 hours on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with no on-call requirements. Flexibility to work day and/or evening shifts may be required during the orientation period.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in MRI technology.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association ONLY.
• Experience with GE or Siemens MRI scanners is required.
• Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization is preferred; willingness to obtain this certification is necessary.
