This position offers a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D). The ideal candidate will have experience in obstetrics and will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients during the ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum phases. The L&D unit is equipped with various facilities, including triage beds, antepartum beds, operating rooms for cesarean sections, and recovery beds.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Monitor and assess maternal and newborn health throughout the labor process.
- Administer medications and manage IVs as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe delivery and recovery.
- Support patients and families in understanding the childbirth process.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
- Experience with Epic and Stork is required.
- Must be able to float to Mother-Baby, Pediatrics, or any adult floor as needed.
