Job Description

The Licensed Respiratory Therapist functions under the supervision of the cardiopulmonary director or supervisor and is responsible for basic cardiopulmonary care in the general patient care areas. Advanced patient care responsibilities and duties may also be assigned as deemed appropriate by the director or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic cardiopulmonary care to patients in various care areas.
• Assist in advanced patient care as directed by supervision.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting in the Epic system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist and registered with the board for respiratory care.
• Experience using Epic charting system.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC.
